Being a part of The Safety Box completely transformed my life. After leaving school with little to no qualifications, I had very little options other than a pipe dream to start my own sports related business. Growing up in a tough part of south London plagued with gangs and violent crime, I didn’t have many role models. After seeing Nathaniel on the BBC Three programme, 'The Last Millionaire', I contacted The Safety Box for guidance.
To my surprise I was offered an opportunity that turned out to be the most pivotal moment of my life. Under the guidance and mentorship of Nathaniel and The Safety Box program, I developed a sports learning program designed to re-engage underachievers back into education.
The program was a resounding success with notable success stories. The experience improved my commercial understanding and transformed my leadership capabilities.
Over the next few years I was able to leverage this experience to get on to an Access course, earn a scholarship at the University of Nottingham and was accepted on to one of the toughest business masters degrees in the country at the University of Bath. I then went on to successfully complete an internship at The Bank of New York Mellon and recently was made one of the youngest Partners ever at a leading financial services institution.
